About us

I founded the MOONIA brand in 2021. I was looking for comfortable pajamas made of natural materials, which will have a flair and I won't be ashamed to open the door to the courier in the morning or jump into the morning online meeting with the team. I have created loose and comfortable cuts that are also wearable as home clothes (even if you have a visitor). It is important to me that you can comfortably spend the night and day in our products and jump off for a roll or to the playground without any problems. In short, we sew clothes so that you are happy in them day and night. The clothes are made in the Czech Republic, the material is woven in local workshops or comes from European weaving mills, we sew from natural materials and try to be kind to mother nature. Anna

The story of the brand

It started quite inconspicuously. I no longer felt comfortable hunting around in the bowels of the closet, pulling a worn-out gray T-shirt out of the closet and going to sleep in it. You probably know it..

I didn't like myself. I was looking for comfortable nightwear in which I would feel confident and at the same time I could do my home office (with a camera) in it during the then lockdowns. The offer on the market didn't really appeal to me, so I had a few shirts sewn. At the same time, I also wanted "healthy" material.

For me, that means something natural, Czech and long-lasting. I just discovered it. After a few days, I realized that I didn't need anything else to sleep. I also understood that it was an opportunity. And so the MOONIA brand was born.

What is the process

In the beginning there is paper and pencil and fabrics, lots of fabrics. After the first drafts of how the shirt should look and what purpose it should fulfill, there comes a discussion with our technologist and a lot of crossing out and rewriting.

We also choose the material that will suit the shirt the most. And then, once we have the basic cut of the product figured out, the sample is sewn. We test it, modify it and catch flies. And then "just" take a picture of the shirt, place it on the website, share it with you and look forward to your reactions!

After ordering, we enter the workshop for sewing. Sometimes it can take a little longer, especially if we are still editing the piece for you.
