Summer is in full swing and, like every year, we choose natural materials. Linen has been making its way into our wardrobes for a long time. It is a natural material with excellent thermoregulatory properties.
Nevertheless, we still encounter some myths that need to be constantly explained.
Come and see the most common...
"scratches"
He may have scratched before, but today production technologies are on a completely different level. During production, flax undergoes a process of "sanforization" (softening). Subsequently, it becomes softer with each wash.
"He's out of shape"
Linen is not elastic, so linen pieces are usually cut loosely (flowy dresses, loose blouses and shirts, loose shorts, etc.). But loose doesn't mean shapeless. :)
"He's heavy"
Of course, linen has many weights. We always choose light weights for our clothes and in fact our linen is light and airy, which makes it one of the most pleasant materials (not only) for summer.
"It's only for the summer"
We know that linen cools in the summer. But it can also heat up. Just layer it right and you won't want to take it off even in December.
“Linen clothes are expensive”
The price tag is usually higher for linen clothing, but when you consider its durability and longevity, it's a worthwhile investment. And if you actually wear the piece, the cost per wear (i.e. the cost of one piece of clothing) is low.
